About Giving

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!"

Malachi 3:10 (NLT)

Frequently Asked Questions

What does your church believe about money?
God is our provider. He promises in Matthew 6:33 to provide for our needs. The Bible teaches that everything we have comes from God and belongs to Him. Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” Therefore, we are mere stewards of what God has given to us. Tithing is giving back to God what is already His. We return 10% back to Him.
What is the difference between a tithe and an offering?
The word “tithe” is derived from the Hebrew word ma’aser and it literally means a tenth. Ten percent of everything belongs to the Lord. In Malachi 3:10-11, God says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in my house.” The ‘storehouse’ is the Old Testament picture of the New Testament church. So as New Testament believers, we worship the Lord with the tithe; or the ten percent. Often, people feel called to give over and above their tithes in the form of offerings. If you choose to do so and would like to designate your offering to a specific area, you can select any of those listed below. Following is a bit of information about those areas and how your offering will be utilized.
What are my giving dollars used for?
Your gifts are used to fund God’s work through the ministry the church. We do this through our weekend services for adults and kids, and through our support of local and world wide missionaries. We can accomplish more together than separate.
